Netflix’s longest-running drama Virgin River is moving into Season 8 with two notable absences. Longtime cast members Marco Grazzini and Lauren Hammersley are officially stepping away from the series following Season 7.
Grazzini’s Mike Valenzuela has been part of the show for five seasons, evolving from a supporting figure into a steady presence within the town’s law-enforcement storyline. His Season 7 ending, which reunited him with Victoria, offered what showrunner Patrick Sean Smith described as a “happy ending for this chapter.”
Hammersley’s Charmaine, one of the show’s earliest recurring figures and once closely tied to Jack’s storyline, appeared only twice in the newest season after several years at the center of major plot twists.
While neither actor has commented publicly, Smith confirmed there are currently no plans for their return in Season 8—though he left the door open for future appearances if the timing feels right.
