CBS is once again expanding the NCIS franchise with the upcoming series NCIS: New York, set to premiere later this year.
Leading the new show is LL Cool J, reprising his role as Sam Hanna — a character fans followed for years on NCIS: Los Angeles. In the new story, Hanna returns to New York City and joins forces with a new partner played by Hawaii Five-0 star Scott Caan.
Together, they will lead a team responsible for defending one of the world’s most high-profile cities from emerging threats.
The pilot episode is written by longtime franchise writer Scott Gemmill, while Byron Balasco serves as showrunner. Additional casting announcements are expected as production progresses.
