Starting on Monday, May 11, MeTV will present a week of back-to-back episodes highlighting the best of Don Knotts as the memorable Barney Fife as part of the network’s annual “Month of Mayberry,” celebrating all things Andy Griffith.

“The Fife Is Right” week will air Monday-Friday at 8 pm and 8:30 pm, and will feature fan-favorite episodes such as “Barney’s First Car” and “Lawman Barney.” The whole week’s schedule is listed below.

Wednesday, May 13

8pm ET/PT – “Barney’s Sidecar” (Originally aired January 27, 1964)

Barney buys an old surplus army motorcycle and sidecar to use on patrol, then becomes a menace to the whole town.

8:30pm ET/PT – “Barney and the Choir” (Originally aired February 19, 1962)

The choir director invites Barney to join the choir before he realizes Barney can’t sing.

Thursday, May 14

8pm ET/PT – “The Big House” (Originally aired May 6, 1963)

When the Mayberry jail is called upon to lodge two hold-up men captured by the state police, Barney finds himself with more than he can handle—especially when “assisted” by ad-hoc deputy Gomer.

8:30pm ET/PT – “The Shoplifters” (Originally aired March 2, 1964)

Ben Weaver complains to the Mayberry sheriff’s office that merchandise has been disappearing from his department store. While Andy investigates, Barney decides to go undercover to catch the crook(s).

Friday, May 15

8pm ET/PT – “Barney’s Physical” (Originally aired September 28, 1964)

Barney has to gain weight and somehow grow taller in a week’s time in order to meet new guidelines for sheriff’s deputies or lose his job. Can he do it?

8:30pm ET/PT – “Lawman Barney” (Originally aired November 12, 1962)

Two intimidating farmers test Barney’s effectiveness as a lawman when they scare him off after refusing to obey his directive to stop illegally selling produce roadside.
