Hollywood legend Ron Howard has two Oscars and countless other awards to his name and is well-loved as an actor, but has made an even more impressive impact behind the scenes.

The Happy Days actor has directed some iconic films, including How the Grinch Stole Christmas, A Beautiful Mind and The Da Vinci Code.

Meet Clint Howard

Born on 20 April 1959, Clint Howard is the younger brother of actor Ron Howard. He’s best known for roles in Terrifier 3 and Solo: A Star Wars Story.

As well as co-starring with Ron on The Andy Griffith Show,  Clint worked on How The Grinch Stole Christmas which his brother directed.

Clint is a regular on-screen, appearing across five generations of ‘Star Trek’

Career on-screen

Clint Howard has worked across five generations of Star Trek, including Strange New Worlds, Discovery, Deep Space Nine, Enterprise and The Original Series.

He’s also acted in well-known features like Frost/Nixon, Apollo 13, The Jungle Book and The Rocketeer across his six-decade career.

Clint and his wife Kat have been married since 2020

Personal life

Clint has been married three times, wedding his first wife Ann Marie Lynch in the mid-late ’80s, with their marriage lasting less than a year. Clint married his second wife Melanie Howard in 1995. The couple separated in 2017. He then remarried, saying ‘I do’ three years later with his now-wife Kat C. Howard in 2020.

Clint posted a photo of the pair in June 2025, captioned: “I love her so much and through thick and thin she “has my back”… and my front and my soul!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️much love to the spark of my life!”

Clint is still busy on-screen today and has several projects currently in the works

Where is Clint now?

Clint is still acting today, working on viral series Pam & Tommy (2022), Nicolas Cage western The Old Way (2023) and festive horror Terrifier 3 (2024).

He most recently appeared in The Wolf and the Lamb (2026). According to his IMDb, Clint has three projects in post production, including Sarah Drew drama Venice Days.
