After six seasons in the world of Virgin River, Marco Grazzini is ready to begin a new chapter.
The actor confirmed he will be leaving the Netflix drama ahead of Season 8, marking the end of his long-running role as Mike Valenzuela. First introduced in Season 2 as a Marine friend of Jack Sheridan, Mike quickly became a central part of the town’s evolving storylines and relationships.
Speaking about the decision, Grazzini explained that character departures are a normal part of television—especially on beloved long-running series. He also expressed gratitude to the cast, crew, and fans who supported him throughout his time on the show.
Although his exit signals a shift for the series, the creative team hasn’t ruled out a possible return in the future. For now, however, Grazzini appears focused on exploring new opportunities beyond Virgin River’s familiar small-town setting.
