A major chapter of Virgin River has officially come to an end. Marco Grazzini is leaving the Netflix series ahead of Season 8, closing out his long-running role as Mike Valenzuela.
The actor first joined the show in Season 2 before becoming a series regular the following year. Over time, Mike evolved into one of the drama’s most recognizable supporting characters, especially through his connections with Jack, Brie, and the wider Virgin River community.
After the exit news broke, Marco shared a short but emotional Instagram post simply saying “thank you.” Fans quickly flooded the comments, while several co-stars posted heartfelt messages of support and appreciation.
In interviews, Marco explained that he views the departure positively and is excited about the next stage of his career. He also emphasized how grateful he remains toward the show’s passionate fanbase.
Even with his exit confirmed, producers have not ruled out a future comeback — meaning Mike’s story in Virgin River may not be completely over yet.
