HBO Max is betting big on nostalgia with a sci-fi twist. Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, the latest expansion of The Big Bang Theory franchise, officially revealed its first look at CCXP Mexico City—and it’s already generating buzz ahead of its July debut.
This time, the spotlight shifts to Kevin Sussman’s Stuart Bloom, who finds himself at the center of a multiverse crisis after accidentally destroying a critical device built by Sheldon and Leonard. The premise flips expectations: instead of genius physicists saving the day, it’s Stuart—awkward, underprepared, and completely out of his depth.
Alongside Lauren Lapkus, Brian Posehn, and John Ross Bowie, the cast promises a mix of character-driven comedy and multiverse chaos, including alternate versions of familiar figures. The series also builds on Stuart and Denise’s relationship, offering emotional continuity for longtime fans.
