For Kevin Sussman, saying goodbye to The Big Bang Theory came with one surprising mistake — leaving behind the one prop that mattered most.
The actor joined the sitcom in Season 2 as Stuart Bloom and quickly became a fan-favorite supporting character. Yet when filming ended in 2019, Sussman didn’t take a single souvenir from the iconic comic-book store set. At the time, he explained, everything looked like something you could simply buy elsewhere.
But later, he realized he had overlooked something irreplaceable.
Stuart’s clipboard — used across more than a decade of episodes — held years of sketches, notes, and personal touches created during filming. By the time Sussman thought of it, the prop had already disappeared.
Fortunately, fans won’t have to say goodbye to Stuart just yet. With the upcoming HBO Max spinoff Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, Sussman is stepping back into the role and beginning a brand-new chapter in the Big Bang universe. 🚀
