Watch Will Trent’s Faith and Will Get the Wrong Impression of Their Relationship in Hilarious New Episode Clip
ABC is starting the new year strong with the premiere of Will Trent, a new drama based on the novels by author Karin Slaughter. Ramón Rodriguez plays Will Trent, and the first three episodes build on his very reluctant partnership with Faith Mitchell, played by Iantha Richardson. The two investigators are starting to get to know each other better. In an exclusive clip (see above) from the new episode airing on January 24, a doctor misreads the message in their conversation. Check it out!
The new Will Trent episode is called “My Stupid Detective Brain” and will air on ABC on January 24, with Faith apparently having a fall that results in a cut that needs stitches… if she’s going to let a doctor anywhere near her with a needle. While it’s safe to say that Faith getting hurt wouldn’t be a laughing matter, what’s not to love about Will arguing with her about her fainting or falling?
Faith’s reflexive laughter when the doctor suggests that she and Will are “expecting” is certainly hilarious, along with her dismissing the idea that she’s pregnant due to divine intervention. The pre-credits clip shows whether the good doctor will react to Will asking if she wants to hold his hand, but it looks like she’ll be getting a full checkup after falling… or fainting.
Of course, Faith has a son of her own, and fans have learned some information about him through phone calls. As for Will, the closest he’s come to having an on-screen child so far is Betty, and he hasn’t had the most nurturing start with his new dog. He doesn’t know much about his partner’s relationship with her son, but is that about to change?
According to the episode description for “My Stupid Detective Brain,” Will and Faith will share some personal stories throughout their investigation. Perhaps being forced to share a hotel room and deliver milkshakes after last week’s case helped them bond!
