The latest NCIS episode ended with a shocking act of revenge — and according to Wilmer Valderrama, Torres completely understood it.
Season 23 Episode 19 saw the NCIS team protecting Rogers, the former Army CID director responsible for multiple crimes and linked to Director Vance’s death. After escaping custody and later entering witness protection, Rogers appeared untouchable.
But the episode’s final scene told a very different story.
A mysterious sniper took Rogers out from 4,500 feet away, a shot only a handful of people could make. Combined with Parker suddenly receiving fresh salmon from Alaska, the clues heavily suggested Gibbs had quietly returned to help settle the score.
Valderrama said Torres appreciated seeing the team operate outside official rules.
“He’s had an ongoing frustration with how NCIS does things,” the actor explained. “Drawing outside the lines is where Torres thrives.”
The actor also confirmed that Torres nearly crossed a dangerous line himself earlier in the episode. Asked whether Torres would have shot Rogers during their confrontation, Valderrama immediately answered yes.
“The old Torres would not have missed the opportunity,” he said.
