4/5/26 – updated with full details and a look at the new restaurant
If you watched the Being Gordon Ramsay documentary on Netflix, you’ll know that one of the key storylines has revolved around the chef’s multiple openings in the 22 Bishopsgate skyscraper in the City. In the opening episode (spoiler), you see his dismay to hear that of the various restaurants planned, Bread Street Kitchen on the 59th floor, is going to be delayed by months. Given that the rest of the operation opened back in February last year, the opening ended up being delayed a full 15 months in total.
But all that is water under a bridge as the restaurant is finally getting ready to open, with an official opening date of 6 May. The delay has also helped to make it a milestone in Ramsay’s career as it will be his 100th restaurant opening worldwide.

This new Bread Street Kitchen (and Bar) will be a little different from the others in the group. It’s an all-day affair, so if you fancy a business breakfast at 6.30 in the morning, this will be the place to come. But it’s literally all-day, as part of it is a dedicated sports bar which has a 24-hour licence, making it a direct competitor to the nearby Duck & Waffle.
And, as it’s on the 59th floor, it’ll be the second-highest restaurant in London when it opens.
As for the food, there will be a new menu here, with dishes promised including a Lobster Benedict for breakfast and Galician T bone steaks for dinner. They’ll also be adding a five-course tasting menu.
Given that the six-part series on Netflix has essentially been one long promo video for this, expect the place to be booked solid when it opens.
