After 14 seasons on NCIS: Los Angeles, LL Cool J is officially returning to the franchise in NCIS: New York, CBS’s newest expansion of its hit procedural universe.
The series follows Sam Hanna as he relocates to New York to work at a hometown field office protecting one of the nation’s most important cities. Alongside him is Scott Caan, whose new character brings a rebellious edge to the team’s investigations.
CBS confirmed the drama will air Tuesday nights this fall, forming part of a strong NCIS programming block with NCIS and NCIS: Origins. Meanwhile, NCIS: Sydney is set to return later in the season.
The upcoming spinoff also reunites Caan with CBS after his decade-long run on Hawaii Five-0, making the project one of the network’s biggest franchise launches in recent years.
