Virgin River fans will have to wait until March 2026 for Season 7, according to star Ben Hollingsworth. Filming ran from March to June 2025, but post-production and Netflix’s packed 2025 schedule pushed the premiere into early next year. With the series already renewed through Season 8, it has become Netflix’s longest-running drama.
Season 7 picks up after Mel and Jack’s wedding, exploring their honeymoon life and the challenges of settling on the farm. The show will also expand multi-generational storylines, including Doc and Hope’s rekindled romance.
Hollingsworth teased a “more complex” season, with deeper emotional stakes and character-driven drama rather than relying solely on cliffhangers. His character, Brady, will confront unresolved issues with Lark and navigate his ongoing complicated relationship with Brie, promising fans a season-long emotional journey.
Two new cast members join the ensemble: Sara Canning as Victoria, a former cop investigating Doc’s practice, and Cody Kearsley as Clay, a rodeo veteran searching for his sister. Returning favorites include Alexandra Breckenridge, Martin Henderson, and Tim Matheson.
