Series producer and showrunner Mike Weiss previously talked about Isobel’s Season 7 storyline. “I might not be a total fiend, but I do employ some fiendish writers,” he explained. “We wanted you to feel very real fallout from her horrible, life-threatening injuries, and also the kind of existential threat that was posed to the New York Field Office. We did, after all, survive kind of a coup that took place,” he continued.
Fortunately, FBI Season 8, Episode 1, titled, “Takeover” confirmed that Isobel had survived. However, another popular character’s death was confirmed. Agent Dani Rhodes (Emily Alabi), who was shot in the abdomen, eventually succumbed to her wounds and died. The character’s demise doesn’t come as too much of a shock since Alabi had confirmed that she would be leaving the show. Created by television powerhouse Dick Wolf and Craig Turk, FBI premiered on CBS in September 2018.
