“I’m like, ‘Hey, guys, how you doing? Does anyone want to hang out?’” Revord, who played Missy Cooper for all seven seasons of the CBS hit, tells PEOPLE
Raegan Revord is still keeping up with her Young Sheldon castmates!
The actress, 16, tells PEOPLE that even following the CBS hit’s series finale in May, she still keeps in touch with many of her former co-stars, including Montana Jordan, who played her older brother, Georgie.
“I feel like Montana is kind of annoyed with me at this point because I’m asking to see him so much,” says Revord, who played Sheldon Cooper’s twin sister, Missy, for all seven seasons.
”I’m also kind of using him to see [his daughter] Emma because I’m obsessed with her, and she’s the cutest little thing ever,” she adds, referencing Jordan’s first child, whom he welcomed with girlfriend Jenna Weeks on May 21.
Revord also says that she’s kept in contact with her TV parents — she recently visited Zoe Perry, who played her mother, Mary Cooper, and has texted Lance Barber, who played her father, George Cooper Sr., about his recent travels abroad.
“I haven’t gotten to see him, but we text,” Revord says. “And he was like Mr. Across the Pond for a bit… he was sending me videos of him around Italy, and it was very pretty. It was very cool. But I miss him. I think we’re going to do a little pool party whenever he gets back, all of us. So I’m very excited.”
“I’m truly like the annoying little sister of the family,” she adds. “I’m like, ‘Hey, guys, how you doing? Does anyone want to hang out?’…Normally, I’m calling Montana like five times a day. I’m like, ‘Hey, are you free? How about now? You free now?’ He loves me so much.”
Revord recently spoke with PEOPLE about her online book club, Read with Raegan, which is aimed toward young readers and selects a new book to read every month. Revord has chosen a variety of titles to read since she founded the club in 2019, including the young adult thriller Thieves’ Gambit by Kayvion Lewis to one of the summer’s hottest reads, God of the Woods by Liz Moore.
Revord will also publish her debut novel, Rules for Fake Girlfriends, next year through Wednesday Books. The actress says that she often wrote the young adult novel while on set for Young Sheldon, and that she would hide her laptop once the cameras started rolling.
“It’s kind of funny because it’s like you’re Missy, and then you’re a writer,” she says. “And it was a learning curve.”
Revord is also “very excited” to make an appearance on the upcoming Young Sheldon spinoff Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage, which will premiere on CBS this October.
“It is a beautiful storyline, and I love it so much,” Revord says. “I get to work with Montana, and I’m very excited about that because I will take any opportunity to work with him. He’s an amazing actor. And it’s going to be fun. I’m very excited for everyone to see it.”
