‘Young Sheldon’ Stars Get Sentimental Over Throwback Photo: ‘I Miss This’

Young Sheldon cast took a trip down memory lane as the stars looked back on their early days filming the hit series.

Sparking a wave of nostalgia, the show’s writer and executive producer, Steve Molaro, shared an unforgettable blast from the past with a behind-the-scenes photo of the adorable Cooper family.

The post on Instagram featured a photo of the cast during the show’s third season.

“One from the vault: Jan 2020. Love these folks. (You know Mary made them do this. Georgie looks thrilled,” the caption reads.In the throwback photo, the “Young Sheldon” cast is dressed in whimsical Wizard of Oz costumes. Zoe Perry, who plays Mary Cooper, channels Glinda the Good Witch, while Iain Armitage (Sheldon) appears as the Tin Man. Raegan Revord, who portrays Missy, is dressed as Dorothy Gale.

Lance Barber’s character, George Cooper Sr., takes on the role of the Cowardly Lion and Montana Jordan, who plays George Cooper Jr., rounds out the group as the Scarecrow.

The throwback post captured not just the public but also the cast members.

Revord commented, “I miss this,” a clear nod to the fun experience they had on the show.

“This was the day Lance met Jane Fonda while dressed like a lion,” Armitage revealed, referring to his Young Sheldon co-star and the veteran actress whom he worked with in the 2017 movie Our Souls at Night.

As for Jordan, he said, “Good times!!” a lighthearted nod to the unforgettable memories on the set.

The CBS show was launched in 2017 as the prequel to the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory.

“Young Sheldon” follows the story of the early life of Sheldon Cooper before he became a theoretical physicist at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and a PhD holder.

The show successfully ran for seven seasons, with the final episode airing on May 16, 2024.
