Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage hasn’t premiered yet, but buzz is already building for another Young Sheldon reunion, thanks to a fun behind-the-scenes video shared by veteran actress Annie Potts.
Potts, who portrays Meemaw, hinted at the upcoming Cooper family reunion while filming the Thanksgiving episode for this new spinoff in The Big Bang Theory universe. In the video, Potts is seen alongside fellow Young Sheldon stars Zoe Perry, Raegan Revord, and Craig T. Nelson. However, one notable absence is Sheldon himself, portrayed by Iain Armitage.
Also missing is the Cooper patriarch, George (played by Lance Barber), who tragically passed away in the final episodes of Young Sheldon. Given that Sheldon has moved to California for school, it makes sense that he wouldn’t be home for Thanksgiving in Texas. Whether Armitage will make an appearance in some form remains to be seen.
This is just the latest Young Sheldon reunion, as it was previously announced that Perry and Potts will reprise their roles as Mary and Meemaw in the premiere episode of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage. Additionally, Revord is set to appear as Missy, Sheldon’s twin and Georgie’s younger sister.
This reunion will also include Nelson, who plays Meemaw’s love interest, Dale. Potts’ video also features titular star Emily Osment, Rachel Bay Jones, Will Sasso, and new additions to the cast, Dougie Baldwin as Mandy’s brother Connor and Jessie Prez as tire shop employee Ruben.
