Young Sheldon Season 7 Vindicates Georgie From His Absurd Missy Claim
Georgie is vindicated for his absurd story about Missy in Young Sheldon season 7. While Mary takes care of Sheldon in Germany, the boy genius’ siblings are dealing with their respective arcs back at home. Georgie and Missy may have not been as smart as Sheldon, but they have their own assets. Separately, they arguably even have more compelling arcs than their brother, especially in the last few seasons of The Big Bang Theory prequel. Together, however, they are one of the best duos in Young Sheldon, with their escapades always fun, entertaining, and sometimes, even heartfelt.
Sadly, Young Sheldon hasn’t fully taken advantage of Georgie and Missy’s appeal as a duo — something that the first episodes of season 7 somehow made amends for. With the pair living under one roof again, there were more interactions between them, including an unexpected heart-to-heart. While Georgie worried about providing for Mandy and Baby Cece, Missy admitted to feeling burned out for taking over the household. Seeing George and Mary become responsible was a treat, but it also posed questions about her brother’s integrity in The Big Bang Theory. Luckily for him, the prequel proves that he is correct.
Missy Stays True To Georgie’s “Dumb Teenager” Claim In TBBT
In Young Sheldon season 7, episode 3, “A Strudel and a Hot American Boy Toy,” Missy returns to her teenage ways by sneaking out of the house. Being busy with looking after Baby Cece and writing to his wife, George doesn’t notice this until he catches Missy all dressed up on her way out. When asked about it, she explains that she’s hanging out with Taylor, purposefully letting her dad believe that her new pal is a girl. When confronted, Missy slithered her way out of the situation by blatantly lying, saying that Taylor is gay, when he isn’t.
For a brief while, Missy seemed like she was committed to staying true to her promise in the Young Sheldon season 6 finale to behave after a year of rebellious acts. This would have contradicted Georgie’s claim about her being a “dumb teenager” in The Big Bang Theory. As she starts making bad choices again, the eldest Cooper child is vindicated, as Young Sheldon proves that Missy was exactly problematic during this period. It’s the reason why Georgie had a much more difficult time after George’s death because he had to take care of both Mary and Missy.
How Missy’s New Romance Makes Her Future So Much Sadder
Missy’s new romance may seem harmless for now. Knowing what’s coming for the Coopers, however, it’s a decision that she will likely regret in the future. She doesn’t seem to have any remorse for shamelessly lying to her dad about that may change once George inevitably dies in Young Sheldon season 7. Exactly when and how remains uncertain for now, but it has been confirmed that the Cooper patriarch will meet his end before The Big Bang Theory prequel wraps up. Considering Young Sheldon’s shortened final season, it’s likely fast approaching.
