Young Sheldon Season 7 Episode 5 Clip Proves How Much Georgie Has Grown Up

A clip from Young Sheldon season 7, episode 5 shows Missy reaching out to her brother, and his reaction proves just how much Georgie has grown. While Sheldon deals with his separate arc at East Texas Tech, his siblings are back home in Medford, Texas, tackling their respective stories. Due to the tornado in the Young Sheldon season 6 finale, Georgie and Missy’s interactions have become more frequent since they now live under one roof again.

The Young Sheldon season 7 video shows Missy asking Georgie’s help to buy alcohol. Impressively, Georgie and Mary’s firstborn not only turns down the request, explaining that he’s also underage but offers his sister an alternative for the party she and Billy are throwing at the Sparks residence.

Young Sheldon Season 7 Proves Georgie’s Spinoff Needs Missy

The Big Bang Theory prequel may be ending in May, but the Coopers’ story in Texas will continue via an upcoming sequel series that centers on Georgie, Mandy, and Baby Cece. Slated to premiere during the 2024-2025 TV season, the upcoming endeavor will take a different storytelling format, being a multi-cam show like the nerd-centric sitcom. However, Missy’s absence makes Georgie’s Young Sheldon offshoot less exciting. As seen in this new clip, the siblings are great together. The next project could feature more of them teaming up as Sheldon leaves for Pasadena.

Based on The Big Bang Theory canon, Missy and Mary should be part of Georgie’s spinoff. The eldest Cooper kid took over the family after George died, which will happen in Young Sheldon season 7. It’s difficult to do that if they are not regularly connected. Beyond preserving canon, bringing in Missy also comes with its own benefits. For starters, she is one of the most popular characters in the prequel. Since The Big Bang Theory didn’t reveal much about her future, Georgie and Mandy’s new series has more creative room to craft what comes next for her.

According to Raegan Revord, she wasn’t invited to return as Missy in Georgie’s new show, although she didn’t reveal the reason why. It’s disappointing that she won’t be in the Young Sheldon sequel series, but it doesn’t mean that she cannot return as a guest star. Perhaps CBS can still change their mind after realizing how great Georgie and Missy are together and decide to ultimately recruit Revord for The Big Bang Theory expansion show.
