The Cooper family is definitely chaotic, with money problems, surprise pregnancies, and the unique challenges Sheldon brings. Yet, there’s a strong love among them, especially after George’s passing at the end of season seven. Over the years, many of the younger cast members have grown up on-screen, forming lasting friendships.
The cast seems very close. Zoe Perry, who plays Mary Cooper, has said she sees all her on-screen kids as her own. After seven seasons of Young Sheldon, the older cast members have watched the younger ones grow. Plus, with a new spin-off series featuring Georgie and Mandy coming soon, it looks like the cast will stay connected. Here’s a look at the Young Sheldon cast members who are still friends now that the show has ended:
Iain Armitage and Annie Potts
The fun relationship between Connie “Meemaw” Tucker and Sheldon, whom she calls “Moonpie,” is a highlight of the show. Annie Potts has said how much she enjoys working with Iain, describing him as a joy to be around. She loves having him in her life, comparing him to her own sons.
Raegan Revord and Montana Jordan
Raegan Revord is an only child, but her on-screen bond with Montana Jordan (Georgie) feels like a sibling relationship. Raegan mentioned that she can call or text him anytime, showing that their friendship will last beyond the show.
Iain Armitage and Raegan Revord
Iain and Raegan, who play twins, have a playful, love-hate relationship just like their characters. Raegan shared that they sometimes argue but always make up quickly. She also appreciated Iain sending her flowers and a sweet note after a car accident, which shows how close they are.
Iain Armitage and Jim Parsons
Iain plays the younger version of Jim Parsons’s famous Sheldon Cooper. Jim has been protective of Iain while also giving him space to grow into the role. Recently, they’ve shared fun TikToks together, showing that their friendship is strong even after the show.
It’s great to see that the friendships formed on Young Sheldon will continue in real life!
