SHELDON, Vt. (WCAX) – Police have released new details about a fatal crash in Sheldon, confirming that a young man from the town was killed in the collision.
Vermont State Police troopers say around 8:30 p.m. Friday, Jacob King, 21, was driving on Vt. Route 78 when he lost control and crashed into a tree.
Police say King died at the scene, while the two passengers in the car were treated for minor injuries by paramedics and released.
Investigators believe speed played a part in the crash and noted there was some snow on the roads.
