Iain Armitage, the former Young Sheldon child star, surprised fans with his strikingly mature look.
Now 17, he has shed his child star image, as seen in his latest Instagram post showcasing his mature, confident side.
In his recent update, the teen star delivered a head-turning moment by showing how he’s transformed from a little screen sensation in a bow tie to a heartthrob in the making with his striking blue eyes and chiseled face.
“Incomprehensible drip from 1823,” he wrote as he effortlessly rocked the retro round glasses.
The post immediately caught the attention of his followers, who couldn’t stop gushing over the portrait, which revealed his stunning features.
“Our Young Sheldon is not so young anymore,” one wrote.
“Oh, Sheldon! You have grown up so fast!” a commenter said.
A third user expressed the same and noted, “Lil Sheldon grew up.”
“Iain is nearly a fully grown adult now,” a follower remarked.
Others seemed surprised by how fast the time has really gone by.
“When did he become so grown?” a commenter pointed out.
“This can’t be the same @iain that made a video for me and my students in 2020! Seems like yesterday time flies!” another added.
A fan joked that the term Young Sheldon “is an outdated name” for the teen actor.
“The glow up…. Nah, Ur always glowing,” a user chimed in.
With Armitage’s new post, it’s clear he is stepping into a new chapter, and fans can’t believe how much he’s grown.
After the show officially concluded in May 2024 following seven successful seasons, the Georgia native took a brief pause from acting to spend time with his family and study.
Armitage previously told People that he was working on getting a student pilot’s license at the time.
“I hopefully will get my private [pilot’s license] when I’m 17,” he said, adding, “And I’ve been having a bunch of fun flying while I’m here in L.A.”
He later shared that he took his mom and grandmother on a flight on his 16th birthday.
“We had a kind of a fun, sort of more subdued celebration in the air,” Armitage explained. “And then right when I touched down, we had a celebration at the airport at Van Nuys, which was so much fun.”
Other than creating new milestones, the actor has remained close with his Young Sheldon co-stars, often sharing casual reunion photos with Raegan Revord and Montana Jordan.
