As CBS’ Fire Country prepares for its much-awaited return to the network, the procedural also has fantastic news for fans. Fire Country was renewed for Season 4 earlier in February amid Season 3’s run, and, unsurprisingly, a premiere date wasn’t announced, although that should be expected in due time. As we count down till then, Netflix is giving fans in the U.S. the opportunity to revisit previous episodes of the action drama this summer, about a year after Season 1 debuted on the streamer.
What’s on Netflix can confirm that Fire Country Season 2 will be available on the streamer starting August 1, with the license to the show possibly being retained through at least August 2027. The season comprises ten episodes, the lowest of all so far, and it aired on CBS between February 16 and May 17, 2024. Max Thieriot, Kevin Alejandro, Jordan Calloway, Stephanie Arcila, Diane Farr, and Billy Burke are among the main cast of the series.
With this report, many may be expecting Season 3 of the firefighting series to also land on Netflix U.S., but that’s yet to be confirmed. However, if the streamer continues with its pattern, the season could eventually be available in some international territories in 2026. These regions have already begun streaming the sophomore season, having picked it up in or around the end of February or the beginning of March 2025. Fire Country’s third season debuted on CBS on October 18, 2024, and concluded on April 25, 2025.
What’s the Latest on ‘Fire Country’ Season 4?
When Fire Country returns, two of its original stars, Burke and Arcila, will not be joining, as previously reported in April. Besides, the Season 3 finale, which ended on an epic cliffhanger, hinted at a possible exit storyline for Burke’s character, Vince Leone, who is also Thieriot’s onscreen dad. Speaking of Arcila’s firefighter character, Gabriela, co-creator Tony Phelan still hopes to bring her back, but also explained why she’s being written out, saying:
“It was really a decision that came out of the dynamic between Bode and Gabriela; we felt like those two characters needed a reset. We love Stephanie, and we are committed to saying that the Bode-Gabriela story does not end here, it goes on. We’re hoping that we can bring that character back, because we think that they have such great chemistry, and the audience is really invested in the two of them. But we felt, with everything that’s happening in the finale and moving on into the next season, that it was time for that character to discover what’s next for her.”
