Taylor Sheridan, an Academy Award-nominated screenwriter and creator of “Yellowstone,” is set to speak Sept. 21 at the Mount Pleasant High School auditorium.
The event is presented by the East Texas Speakers Forum.
Sheridan also is the creator of several network series, including “Mayor of Kingstown,” “Tulsa King,” “1923” and “1883.”
The event is set to begin at 7 p.m. and will feature a one-hour, moderated Q&A session with Sheridan. Tickets and limited VIP packages are on sale at easttexasspeakersforum.com .
“When the VIP packages are gone, they’re gone, so don’t wait,” the East Texas Speakers Forum stated in a press release.
Tickets cost between $25 and $100 based on seating selection. The VIP package costs $2,000 and includes two premium seats, a pre-show photo opportunity with Sheridan for up to two people, two gifts, premium VIP parking and the ability to purchase up to four additional tickets in the VIP seating section.
The pre-show VIP photo opportunity will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Previous speakers include former President George W. Bush and East Texas native and Kansas City Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who spoke in Tyler, and Martha McSally, the first woman to fly a fighter jet in combat and command a fighter squadron in combat.
The East Texas Speakers Forum is a nonprofit with the mission to facilitate and host events in East Texas with speakers that will educate, engage, and culturally enrich the community. The organization is governed by a volunteer board of directors, with founding members representing Christus Health, LeTourneau University, Longview News-Journal, Texas Bank and Trust, and the University of Texas at Tyler.
