‘Yellowstone’ Cast Guide: Who’s Who in Paramount Network’s Hit Show?
Kevin Costner’s hit television show Yellowstone is back and blazing with Season 3. The Neo-Western has returned the Paramount Network, and the Dutton family is back, too.
But along with mostly familiar faces, you’ll notice that one big name has joined the Yellowstone cast: Lost star Josh Holloway. Holloway joins the Yellowstone cast this season as charismatic hedge fund manager Roarke Carter, who is ready to shake things up in Montana. And of course, The Dutton family returns as a whole, along with their friends and foes across the Yellowstone community.

Kevin Costner as John Dutton
Oscar-winner Kevin Costner leads Yellowstone as John Dutton, who controls the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch. Dutton faces a number of challenges in the show: watching over his land and family, coping with the loss of his son, and also with a colon cancer diagnosis. Before Yellowstone, Costner directed and starred in the hit Dances with Wolves, as well as The Postman and Open Range. He’s an executive producer for Yellowstone.
Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton
Luke Grimes stars as one of the Dutton sons, Kayce, a former US Navy SEAL living on a local Native American reservation. Grimes has also starred in films like American Sniper, The Magnificent Seven, and the Fifty Shades of Grey series. Grimes got his breakout television role as James on True Blood.
Kelly Reilly as Beth Dutton
Beth Dutton, the only daughter of John and Evelyn, is played by Kelly Reilly. Beth is an intelligent and manipulative financier, and she’s incredibly loyal to her father. Reilly has starred in Flight, Pride and Prejudice, and a handful of television series such as True Detective and Above Suspicion. She’s been nominated for various awards at Cannes Film Festival, British Independent Film Awards, and the César Awards.
Wes Bentley as Jamie Dutton
Wes Bentley plays Jamie, another son of John and Evelyn. Jamie’s an attorney and an aspiring politician, and he’s pretty frustrated with the state of the Dutton family. Bentley has been nominated for a BAFTA award for his performance as Ricky Fitts American Beauty. Bentley has also starred in The Hunger Games, Interstellar, and three seasons of American Horror Story.
Josh Holloway as Roarke Carter
Josh Holloway stars as Yellowstone newcomer Roarke Carter, a shaggy-haired hedge fund manager with big plans for the ranch. Holloway earned his fame as Sawyer on Lost. He’s also held roles in a handful of films, such as Mission: Impossible—Ghost Protocol, Sabotage, and Paranoia. He’s won awards from the Screen Actors Guild and the Gold Derby Awards.
Cole Hauser as Rip Wheeler
Rip Wheeler, played by Cole Hauser, is the ranch foreman at the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, as well as John’s right-hand man. He has a relationship with Beth, though it’s on and off. Hauser has starred in a number of big hit films, such as Good Will Hunting, Dazed and Confused, and 2 Fast 2 Furious. Before Yellowstone, he had a main role on the police drama Rogue.
