There is no doubt that we are ready for shows to return. It’s been a long summer, and we always look forward to September. There is bad news for Will Trent fans, though.
At least, the news initially seems like bad news. We won’t get the Will Trent Season 3 premiere in September 2024. This series isn’t part of the ABC fall schedule, and the earliest we’ll get it is January 2025.
There is some good news that comes with this wait, though. While it doesn’t seem it right now, you’ll be happy in March and April when everyone else is complaining.
Will Trent Season 3 won’t have breaks in the schedule
The earliest we’ll get Will Trent Season 3 is in the middle of January 2025. There are 18 episodes to the season, and that means something great. A run from mid-January to mid-May will take 18 weeks. While everyone else is complaining about weeks of reruns, Will Trent fans will get a new episode each week from premiere to finale.
Of course, ABC needs to make sure it sets the plan and runs with it. This was a promoting factor of keeping Will Trent as a midseason show during the May Upfronts, though.
What to expect in Will Trent Season 3
Since we don’t have a premiere date just yet, there isn’t a lot known about the new season. Of course, there are a lot of questions after the way the second season ended. Will had no choice but to arrest Angie for tampering with evidence.
Things were looking great for Will and Angie. They seemed to be on a track to get together, but the arrest is sure to throw a spanner in the works. Is there a way back for either of them from this?
We’ll get a new ADA. Gina Rodriguez is joining the series as Marion Alba, who will not have a good first impression of Will. However, the two will need to work closely together during the season, and that could lead to some sparks flying. After all, there needs to be a little romance drama mixed with the crime drama, right?
