“Will Trent Season 1 Finale Shocker: Did [Spoiler] Really Die?”

Will Trent ends its first season in a crazy way this week. Will Will be able to rescue Angie and finally close the serial killer case? Find out here!

The Season 1 finale begins with Will discovering that Angie has been kidnapped by the same serial killer who terrorized the city years ago. The team searches for her, and Will is devastated and distraught over the loss of his friend.

Amanda and Evelyn assist in the case, clashing with Butch, the detective who ignored their conversation about the killer in the 1980s. Will suspects Butch, and a tip written on a letter leads the team to confront him, with Omerwood shooting him in the arm when Butch fires at them.

Who is the killer in Will Trent?
Will realizes that the “tip” was written recently. Angie escapes the room she is being held in to call Will, but is attacked by the real killer, lawyer James Ulster.

Will meets Ulster privately when he discovers that he was in love with Will’s biological mother, Lucy. That woman died giving birth to Will, and Ulster blames him for it and attacks Angie. He shows Will where Angie is being held, severely beaten.

Will beats Ulster himself and intends to kill him but restrains himself. When the police arrive, Will arrests Ulster but discovers that the man has poisoned himself.

What happened to Angie in the Will Trent Season 1 finale?
Ulster survived and is believed to be in custody at the hospital. Angie is also there with the doctors, saying that the beating may have left her paralyzed. Meanwhile, Evelyn tells Will that Amanda was the one who found him abandoned as a baby and wanted to adopt him but couldn’t. Instead, she just gave him his name and mistakenly assumed that Will would go to a good family instead of the foster system. Will is moved, thanking Amanda, who gives Will his mother’s necklace. So Will Trent ends the first season with Angie’s fate still unclear and Will discovering more about his past, leaving fans curious about what Season 2 will bring.
