The delay isn’t due to creative issues, but strategic scheduling. Networks often stretch their episode lineup to avoid long gaps later in the spring, especially as competition heats up with sports, awards shows, and special programming. Holding episodes also helps ensure NCIS can run consistently through the remainder of the season without interruptions.
