Why the ‘Ghosts’ Cast Deserves ALL the Emmys in 2025 (You’ll Totally Agree)

CBS will submit 14 cast members from Ghosts Season 4 for Emmy consideration, Gold Derby has learned.

The spooky program is once again submitting Rose McIver in Best Comedy Actress and Utkarsh Ambudkar in Best Comedy Actor. McIver plays Samantha “Sam” Arondekar, a journalist who can see ghosts after an accident leaves her clinically dead for several minutes, and Ambudkar portrays Jayanth “Jay” Arondekar, Sam’s nerdy husband who empathizes with her unique gift.

For Best Comedy Supporting Actor Ghosts is entering Asher Grodman as Trevor Lefkowitz, Brandon Scott Jones as Capt. Isaac Higgintoot, Devan Chandler Long as Thorfinn/”Thor”, Richie Moriarty as Peter “Pete” Martino, and Roman Zaragoza as Sasappis/”Sass”.

And for Best Comedy Supporting Actress: Sheila Carrasco as Susan “Flower” Montero, Danielle Pinnock as Alberta Haynes, and Rebecca Wisocky as Henrietta “Hetty” Woodstone.

Finally, four memorable guest stars from Season 4 will be submitted: Asif Ali as Sunil and Ben Feldman as Kyle Rosenblatt in Best Comedy Guest Actor; and Mary Holland as Patience and Taylor Ortega as Joan in Best Comedy Guest Actress.

Ghosts has been skunked so far at the Emmy Awards, though it has received a nice welcome at the Critics Choice Awards, with five total nominations including bids for Jones, Grodman, and Best Comedy Series.

Part of Pinnock’s joy in the role, as she recently told Gold Derby, comes from the way Alberta is written. “A lot of times what happens when you see any actor of color playing on broadcast television, we almost become decorations on a Christmas tree where we’re just fun to look at, but no one really cares about our storylines,” she said.

Below is the list of Ghosts‘ acting submissions for the 2025 Emmys. Note: These entries are being submitted by CBS; additional actors from the series may still choose to submit independently.
