Why NCIS and NCIS: Sydney Are Taking a Long Hiatus — and When They’ll Be Back md14

Both NCIS and NCIS: Sydney are heading into a lengthy break after airing new episodes on Tuesday, December 16.

The flagship series airs “Heaven and Nature” at 8 p.m. ET, followed by NCIS: Sydney’s “South of Nowhere” at 9 p.m. ET. After that, both shows go dark for the holidays. (An update notes NCIS: Sydney will air a rerun instead due to a last-minute delay.)

All three NCIS shows—including Origins—are expected to return with new episodes on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. The extended hiatus is a standard network pause around Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.

You can catch the latest episodes on CBS and stream them the next day on Paramount+.
