Who is the new female lead in Tracker season 2 and why isn’t she part of the Colter family?
She has every reason to know more about Colter’s family tragedy.
There are still a few months left until Tracker returns for season 2, but it’s already pretty clear that Colter Shaw’s main problem with his family isn’t just his own to deal with.
The show’s first season ended on a cliffhanger that revealed that there were darker secrets that Colter’s mother had been hiding from him and his siblings, making her the prime suspect in Colter’s father’s murder.
While the next season of the series will certainly take a closer look at the main character’s family to finally uncover all the mysteries, a supporting character will likely have a much larger role. Ironically, it won’t be any member of the Colter family.
Tracker season 1 introduced Lizzy Hawking, a family friend of Colter’s who he hadn’t seen in a long time after the two spent their childhood together. Initially appearing as one of the supporting characters, Lizzy’s role became much larger as the first season neared its final episodes.
While Colter was trying to stay away from all the trouble that constantly surrounded his family and tormented him, Lizzy turned out to be a real help to him as she suddenly revealed that she knew her mother was having an affair with Colter’s father before his mysterious death.
She also revealed another shocking detail, telling Colter about his father visiting her home shortly before his death only to leave behind a box full of documents that Lizzy only found after her mother passed away.
Lizzy’s revelations are another controversial addition to the series overall, as she admits to sending the box to Colter’s sister, Dory, but Dory has never mentioned anything like this to her brother.
In the upcoming second season, Lizzy will likely become a key figure in Colter’s investigation, not only because it will definitely involve her mother, but also because Lizzy is the first person to openly talk to Colter about his father’s death, making it clear that she also wants to know the whole truth.
