Who is Colter’s nemesis, and what role do they play in Season 2 of Tracker?

Every industry has its competitors, and while Colter Shaw’s tracking job may make him seem unique, that’s not the case. Tracker introduced Colter’s tracking rival in Season 2, Billie Matalon. She’ll be back in Season 2, and we finally know how that plays out. CBS has released images and plot details for Tracker Season 2, Episode 3, “Bloodlines.” According to the official logline below, Colter and Billie decide that the enemy of my enemy is my friend, and they team up on a case. Since the goal is to find a missing person, they’ll do better if they work together instead of against each other.

In the images, Colter and Billy embark on a search for the missing teenager. Their efforts take them to several places, ending up in a place with several abandoned storage containers. It looks like someone lives there, but they don’t find anyone when they arrive. Colter and Billie appear concerned when they find blood on the sides of the container. While the duo have some mild rivalry, there’s also some chemistry. Some images show them in a bar as Colter grabs a drink and Billie joins him. Could this be the start of something?

Hartley’s wife, Sofia Pernas, plays Billie, which could explain the fiery chemistry that never goes away. “Oh, she’s the best and she’s so talented… Those were my favorite days in the world working with her,” the star told TV Insider about working with her. In the episode, Billie goes to Colter for help on a case. “And of course, he’s like, ‘You need my help, huh?’ Like, ‘Okay, then ask me. You have to ask me,'” Hartley added of the character’s motivation.

Tracker returns with more episodes for Season 2. The season begins Sunday, October 13, in “Out of the Past,” as Colter searches for a missing family whose car was found abandoned on the side of a road in the Arkansas backwoods. Colter makes a shocking discovery about his mother’s past, while Reenie opens a new law firm and enlists Velma’s help.
