Are you more of a Penelope or a Daphne based on your zodiac sign? Astrologer Lisa Stardust weighs in
Bridgerton is made up of an eccentric group of characters, but which one do you most closely align with?
Though fans have categorized themselves as a Penelope or a Daphne throughout the past three seasons, your zodiac sign can also say a lot about which character you are.
While a handful of the characters’ birthdays are noted in Julia Quinn’s novels, others possess defining characteristics of the 12 zodiac signs.
As season 3 releases on Netflix on May 16, PEOPLE spoke with astrologer and bestselling author Lisa Stardust for their official readings.
Read ahead to see which Bridgerton character you are, based on your sign.
Aries: Penelope
According to her birth date mentioned in the book series, Penelope is an Aries. Like the Fire sign, Penelope is shown to be incredibly courageous and sometimes defiant as she gossips about the ton through her Lady Whistledown column. On the flip side, Penelope is known to be incredibly protective of those she loves and “defensive of her emotions,” which Stardust says are both qualities of the ram.
Taurus: Benedict
As a lover of arts, Stardust notes that Benedict closely aligns with the “beloved creative” Taurus sign. Additionally, he possesses the many qualities of the bull, particularly his sweet demeanor. “With his tempered emotions and unique perspectives, he’s giving TLC to others like Taures do,” Stardust says.
Gemini: Kate
Stardust points out that Gemini signs always look “out for their siblings,” just as Kate did for her younger sister Edwina throughout season 2. Additionally, Stardust notes that Kate’s “smart, witty, and wavering emotions align her with the Air sign.”
Cancer: Lady Featherington
As the matriarch of the Featherington family, Lady Featherington “can be overly fussy with her children,” Stardust notes, which is a key attribute of a Cancer parent. “Cancers are very involved in their kid’s affairs which is why she connects with the water sign,” Stardust adds.
Leo: Queen Charlotte
As Leo is the “most regal sign of the zodiac,” Stardust notes that it only makes “sense that Queen Charlotte would rule this Fire sign.” Stardust specifically notes that the queen possesses the same “passionate, theatrical, lust for life and power” that a typical Leo does.
Virgo: Violet
As a single parent, Violet works hard to not only provide for her child but to provide them with eligible love matches as they create their own families. “Her hard work to maintain the family is worth it, making her a Virgo,” Stardust notes. Additionally, Virgos have a strong desire to create order, which describes the Bridgerton matriarch to a tee.
Libra: Daphne
“As an intellectual and a beauty, Daphne optimizes the Air sign Libra,” Stardust says. Not only is she open-minded about the world around her, but Stardust points out that she “finds comfort in a relationship with someone who challenges her, like every Libra does.”
Scorpio: Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings
Though Simon has a “brooding personality that he wears on a surface level,” deep down he is “desirous, emotional, loyal, and lovelorn on the inside,” which all make him the ideal Scorpio, according to Stardust.
Sagittarius: Lady Danbury
As shown on both Bridgerton and Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, Lady Danbury is a free spirit who loves her freedom, much like the Fire sign. Stardust adds that like a Sagittarius, “she doesn’t hold back from speaking her mind and doing what she wants when she wants to.”
Capricorn: Anthony
As the eldest Bridgerton, a lot rests on Anthony’s shoulders, often making him appear “stubborn, rigid and determined,” all qualities of a Capricorn. That being said, he does have a sensitive side to him, which Stardust says ”all sea-goats display to those they love and care about.”
Aquarius: Eloise
The quintessential middle child, “Eloise marches to the beat of her own drum and defies societal expectations like Aquarius,” Stardust says. “Doing her own thing in her own time is essential, making her Bridgerton’s resident water-bearer.”
Pisces: Colin
As Colin’s birth falls on March 2 in the books, he’s technically a Pisces. Like the Water sign, he’s always on the move and is shown to be fairly creative as he writes about his adventures. “He longs for romance and excitement like Pisces do,” Stardust adds.
