When Will Chicago Fire Season 13 Premiere?
“Chicago Fire” is gearing up for a new season of romance, chaos, and death-defying feats. Season 13 will premiere on September 25 at 9 p.m. ET. The show will maintain its Wednesday night time slot and will once again be sandwiched between its One Chicago siblings, “Chicago Med” and “Chicago P.D.” All three of the series’ dramas will premiere on the same night.
This is a slightly earlier start than last season, when the SAG-AFTRA strike forced the series to start late. Generally, “Chicago Fire” tends to premiere a new season in late September, with the other exceptions being Seasons 4 and 5 (which began in October) and Season 9 (which began in November).
While One Chicago fans will soon learn more about the next chapter in the lives of their favorite characters, “Chicago Fire” certainly left them with a memorable Season 12 ending.

In the Season 12 finale, Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) discovered that one of his co-workers also happened to be his half-brother. New recruit Jack Damon (Michael Bradway) confessed that Benny Severide (Treat Williams) was his father. Kelly barely had time to digest the news before learning that Sheriff Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker) would be leaving his position to take a job as a deputy sheriff. Boden encouraged Chris Herrmann (David Eigenberg) to apply for the job, something the usually glory-shy Herrmann seemed to be very much considering. Are you also thinking about moving up in your career? Mouch McHolland (Christian Stolte), who will finally take his lieutenant’s test.
Kelly and his wife, Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo), are also considering a much more personal change in their lives — having a baby. They’re still undecided when Season 12 ends. Are you undecided, too? Violet Mikami’s (Hanako Greensmith) and Sam Carver’s (Jake Locket) relationship takes a serious turn for the worse when Sam’s jealousy over Violet’s previous relationship clashes with her fears that he’s attracted to Stella. In September, viewers will find out if love — or bitterness — is in the air for them.
