When is Tracker Season 2 Coming?
One of CBS’s biggest midseason premieres in 2024 is Tracker, which debuted right after the Super Bowl in February. After being officially renewed by CBS in March 2024, here’s when viewers can expect Tracker Season 2 to premiere.
In July 2024, CBS officially announced that Tracker Season 2 would premiere on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 8 p.m. ET. The second season of Tracker began principal photography in July before the season premiere date was announced and is currently expected to wrap up in April 2025.
It’s currently unclear how many episodes will be included in Tracker Season 2; Replacing the mid-season, Tracker’s first season will run for a total of 13 episodes before concluding in May 2024. Most of the main cast of Tracker Season 1 are expected to return to reprise their roles in Season 2, including star and executive producer Justin Hartley, who plays the main character Colter Shaw. CBS made the decision to renew Tracker for a second season early after the show’s first episode reportedly received 30 million views across all platforms and significantly improved its Sunday night viewership. In its first season, Tracker not only maintained its viewership, but also became the most popular new series since Young Sheldon debuted in 2017. What is Tracker?
Based on the 2019 novel The Never Game by Jeffrey Deaver, Tracker follows survivor Colter Shaw, who travels the country helping local law enforcement and private citizens make money. As Colter makes a living and lives a nomadic life by giving away his expertise, he must reconcile his tumultuous relationship with his family. While Colter typically keeps his personal life separate from his work, that changes at the end of the first season when a special mission hits close to home, setting the stage for Tracker Season 2.
