Fans of CBS’ sizzling firefighter drama Fire Country have a lot to be excited about — the heat is far from dying down. In February 2025, CBS officially renewed the series for a fourth season, keeping the flames burning into fall 2025. Alongside the main show’s return, a brand-new spinoff series, Sheriff Country, is also set to premiere, expanding the growing Fire Country universe.
🔥 When Does Fire Country Season 4 Premiere?
While an exact premiere date hasn’t been confirmed just yet, Fire Country season 4 is slated to debut in fall 2025. The series currently airs Fridays at 9 p.m. ET, a time slot it’s likely to retain for the upcoming season. New episodes will continue to stream on Paramount+ the day after they air on CBS.
👨🚒 Who’s Returning for Season 4?
The official season 4 cast has yet to be announced, but fans can expect the core group to return. This includes:
-
Max Thieriot as Bode Leone
-
Kevin Alejandro as Manny Perez
-
Jordan Calloway as Jake Crawford
-
Stephanie Arcila as Gabriela Perez
-
Jules Latimer as Eve Edwards
-
Diane Farr as Sharon Leone
-
Billy Burke as Vince Leone
With no major departures announced so far, it looks like viewers will see their favorite Station 42 crew back in action.
🚒 What Is Fire Country About?
Fire Country follows Bode Leone, played by series co-creator Max Thieriot, a young convict with a turbulent past who volunteers for California’s Conservation Camp Program. Through the program, inmates work alongside Cal Fire crews to combat wildfires in Northern California.
Bode’s journey takes an emotional turn when he’s assigned to Edgewater — his hometown — forcing him to confront old wounds, reconcile with former friends, and navigate the complexities of redemption. By the end of season 3, Bode has earned his freedom and continues his mission as a firefighter, trying to rebuild his life and restore broken relationships.
🌲 What’s the Deal With the Fire Country Spinoff?
Alongside the new season, Fire Country will officially launch its first spinoff: Sheriff Country, starring Morena Baccarin as Sheriff Mickey Fox. First introduced in an April 2024 Fire Country backdoor pilot episode, Mickey is Edgewater’s no-nonsense sheriff — and the stepsister of Sharon Leone.
The spinoff will follow Mickey as she patrols the streets of Edgewater, facing off with her ex-con father and grappling with a mysterious crisis involving her rebellious daughter. Intriguingly, viewers already know Mickey played a major role in Bode’s incarceration, adding extra tension and backstory to the shared universe.
Sheriff Country is set to debut in fall 2025, premiering alongside Fire Country season 4.
🔥 A Fire Country Universe in the Making
CBS has made it clear: Fire Country is no longer just a breakout hit — it’s the foundation of a full-fledged TV universe. In a 2024 interview with Deadline, CBS President and CEO George Cheeks revealed that the network is exploring multiple spinoffs based on the show’s growing popularity.
“This season’s number one show was Fire Country, which completely lends itself to building out a whole new universe,” Cheeks said. “It became very clear that not only was the show special, it really felt like this could be a great example of building a franchise from scratch.”
One of the rumored spin-offs includes a potential series starring Jared Padalecki, though nothing has been confirmed yet.
🚨 What’s Next?
With season 4 on the horizon and a new spinoff in the works, Fire Country is heating up like never before. Expect more drama, more character development, and even deeper exploration of the lives and relationships of Edgewater’s bravest. Whether you’re Team Bode or just here for the action, fall 2025 is shaping up to be a fiery season for Fire Country fans.
