The episode will feature multiple scenes of him meeting Will for the first time as the GBI and APB investigate the death of a judge.
The origins of Will’s parents and the discovery of the mysteries of his family have been central parts of the series from the start. The long-running story of season 1 captures James Ulster, a serial killer who murdered his mother, Lucy, when he was a child. Season 2 sees the killer reveal Antonio’s name to Will, claiming to be his biological father despite a lack of evidence.
ABC has described Antonio as Will’s counterpart, hinting that the pair will get along as they get to know each other. This means that, despite Will Trent’s tragic start to season 2, there is still some hope that he will be able to get answers about his past from his uncle. If he discovers more truths about his family and parents, it could reveal whether James is actually his biological father.
Since season 2 only has 10 episodes to answer, it may not be until Will Trent season 3 that more specific information about his family tree comes to light.
