What Hero Fiennes Tiffin Is Doing Now and All of His Upcoming Projects
The charming young star of the After films, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, has some exciting upcoming projects in the works.
He’s a young actor that seems to have it all going for him right now, and that’s perhaps been the tale of Hero Fiennes Tiffin’s life. After all, he’s been known as a heartthrob and has had millions of adoring fans all around the world since he was barely 12 years old. While his name is often used in a hyphenated form, he actually prefers to use Fiennes as a middle name since his parents, director Martha Fiennes, and cinematographer, George Tiffin, were never married.
In fact, his name itself is compacted, and who could blame him since his actual full name is Hero Beauregard Faulkner Fiennes Tiffin. If you think that’s a mouthful, it’s because Hero hails from the famous, Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes peerage family, who were descendants of the 16th Baron Saye and Sele. The young actor got his break when he landed the role of Lord Voldemort himself — ahead of thousands of other young actors who auditioned to play an 11-year-old Tom Riddle in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Despite Ralph Fiennes famously playing the adult Voldemort in the globally popular wizarding films, everyone involved was quick to mention that Hero had earned the role. He was able to channel a darkness that gave the character more depth than any other hopeful actor there, and not because he’s also the nephew of famed actor Ralph Fiennes. Director David Yates later said that his resemblance to Ralph Fiennes, however, “clinched” the result. Regardless of how true or untrue that may be, Hero has since shown that he’s a very capable actor who’s earned a legion of fans on his own merit.
The Role That Made Hero Fiennes Tiffin
By 2019, Hero had managed to land a coveted role in a film based on another popular novel series. Since signing on to play the complexly charming, but often nasty, Hardin Scott in the After film series, Hero cemented himself as a hugely popular actor in his own right.
Based on the After web novel series by novelist Anna Todd, the original film has since burgeoned into a four-film romance franchise, with a fifth on its way — making global stars of Hero Fiennes Tiffin and his co-star Josephine Langford in the process. Now that Hero has become such an established star, the obvious question that arises for such a young star is what’s he doing now and what’s next?
Hero Fiennes Tiffin’s Current Projects
At the world premiere of the last film in the After series, After Ever Happy, Hero Tiffins Fiennes announced that filming was already completed on the fifth film in the series, titled After Everything. Before this, the entire existence of a fifth film had been kept a secret. The film is currently in post-production and is due to be released later this year, with Hero set to reprise his role in the franchise.
Since last year, Hero has also been busy filming another movie that is currently also in post-production. The upcoming true-life film The Climb will be based on the efforts of activists who pull off an outrageous stunt to protest oil drilling in the Arctic. The story is based on a 2013 protest by Greenpeace members who illegally climbed one of the tallest buildings in Europe — the Iconic Shard skyscraper in London. The film is set to include Hero Fiennes Tiffin alongside a leading female cast consisting of Cara Delevingne (Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets) and Hannah John-Kamen (Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City).
Hero Fiennes Tiffin’s Future Projects
As if news of these two films weren’t exciting enough for fans of the actor, he’s also currently completing filming for the upcoming Guy Ritchie film, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. Filming on this highly anticipated spy film commenced in February of this year. The movie will star Hero Fiennes Tiffin alongside the likes of Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians), Mexican actress Eiza González (Godzilla vs. Kong), Alan Ritchson (Reacher), and of course, Henry Cavill, who needs no introduction.
The film is set for a wide release sometime next year. With such a formidable cast already a part of it, Hero Fiennes Tiffin is clearly an actor on the rise for being included among such fine acting companies, and as a part of such an illustrious director’s latest film.
What’s Yet to Come for Hero Fiennes Tiffin
Given his young age, Hero can certainly be commended for the drive and commitment he’s shown for his craft. While he already has such a busy schedule ahead from his current and future films, he’s also already been signed on for another upcoming film. Titled Come As You Are, the movie is slated to be a thriller that revolves around a young woman whose life goes off the deep end when her social media career takes her down some dark and twisted paths.
It’s set to star Hero Fiennes Tiffin alongside Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones) and Taylor John Smith (Hunter Killer), among others. Not much else is known about the film for now, but its premise and cast alone already give us an indication that it’s set to be a good one. Aside from the talented stars signed on, the film will also reportedly be directed by the award-winning Sundance Fellow filmmaker, Jessie Barr, and currently has the Academy Award-winning screenwriter Zach Baylin (King Richard) working on the script.
Hero has already proven to be an immensely talented actor. Aside from all his fame so far, he’s also already starred in the massively acclaimed historical drama, The Woman King. In addition to his acting fame, the young actor has also become a sex symbol among many of his fans. This label is exacerbated by the fact that he’s also a successful model who’s done work for the likes of iconic fashion labels like Hugo Boss, Dolce & Gabbana, and Dior. With so much going for the young actor right now, his career seems set to only grow, and only time will tell how high the heights he reaches will be.
