What Has GH Star Chad Duell Been Up To Lately? Find Out Here!

Although he’s not listed on the IMDb page yet, Duell is appearing in the new film, Soldiers of Heaven, directed by Bruce Reisman, who’s been a screenwriter since the 1980s. The World War II story is based on real events, and the plot follows, “A young American fighter pilot, who crashes in Nazi-occupied Austria. As the sole survivor, he is rescued by a group of nuns, who intend to hide him from the surrounding Nazis. Eager to escape over the Alps, he is forced to stay hidden at the convent, and keep a secret that if revealed, will cost many lives.”

In a conversation with Digital Journal, Duell praised Reisman, stating, “Bruce is awesome! He is a really cool and down-to-earth director. He is a kind-hearted person, and I am lucky to be working with him on projects.” One of the projects he and Reisman have collaborated on is the new play, Yum Yum at Annapolis. Duell praised his friend, remarking, “Bruce is in the middle of re-writing this play. We did a table read for it, and that’s a work in progress right now.” He further added that it was his first play since high school, and noted, “This is a freeing, artistic experience that you don’t get from doing film and television.”

Try to stand outDuell’s conversation with the outlet spanned quite a few topics, including what advice he had for aspiring actors. He stated that nowadays the job is much different that before, remarking that, “You have to bring your authenticity into everything you do.” He also explained that when auditioning, people shouldn’t try to become what they think the people holding the audition want. He had some important words of advice about that: “What makes each person unique is their personality, so find a way to marry your personality (what makes you unique) with whatever role you are asked to audition for or play, and that is going to make you stand out.”

The former General Hospital star thanked his fans for their support, and looked forward to them seeing him in new roles. Ultimately, he felt that the definition of success was, “Peace of mind,” and his fans will definitely have that when they check out his exciting new roles.
