The Leone family must say a tough goodbye on Fire Country Season 4 Episode 1, “Goodbye for Now.”
Picking up where Fire Country Season 3 Episode 20, “I’d Do It Again,” left off nearly six months ago, the season 4 promo shows Bode, Sharon, and Walter grieving the loss of Vince.
The two weren’t at odds at the time of the Zabel Ridge fire, but the promo video makes it abundantly clear that Bode and Jake are nowhere near being on good terms. Bode blames Jake for not allowing him to enter the building in the season 3 finale, leading to the death of his father.
Bode is known for not being able to get over grudges easily, but with his father dying inside the fire, it’s sure to linger longer.
Not only that, but with the position of chief up for grabs, I don’t think we’ll be seeing any friendly interactions between the two for a few of the beginning episodes of season 4.
Another character missing in action this season will be Gabriela. It’s been confirmed that she’ll make an appearance in the season premiere and then be gone for the remainder of the season.
Although that doesn’t mean her return isn’t something to write off completely. According to the show creators, her return remains uncertain, as this season is intended to be a time for our main characters to grow up.
Elsewhere, it’s a new life for Three Rock after the campsite burned to a crisp. With Cole’s parole and graduation in the season 3 finale, we’ll be missing him from the mix as well.
