‘We’ve tried a few times’: Texas singer Cody Johnson says about being in ‘Yellowstone’

Texas singer Cody Johnson is known for a cowboy persona that almost nabbed him a role on “Yellowstone.” Johnson, who is from Sebastopol, said that he and “Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan have talked before about the singer appearing on the Paramount Network series. But the timing hasn’t worked out just yet.

“We’ve tried a few times, and my schedule is too busy to actually put aside the time,” Johnson told The Rob + Holly Show. “There’s a few movie things that I’m like, ‘Look, if y’all give me the notice, I can make this happen’.” Johnson didn’t discuss what other film and television projects he’s been circling. However, if he did appear on “Yellowstone,” there’s already a precedence set.
