MasterChef: Generations’ auditions continue tonight with Gen Z home cooks competing in hopes of winning a white apron. Joining Gordon Ramsay, Aarón Sánchez and Joe Bastianich as a judge for the Gen Zs is internet personality and Season 10 Contestant Nick DiGiovanni, who is a Gen Zer himself.
Each contestant has 45 minutes to prepare a signature dish that will impress the judges and secure a spot in the Top 20.
Parade has your sneak peek at Hallie, a 24-year-old cornhole professional player from Berry, Ala., who takes a break from making teriyaki stir fried lamb to test Gordon and Nick on their cornhole skills.
“We had it on one of our dates traveling playing cornhole,” Hallie said referring to her boyfriend and her love of the lamb dish, “and we’ve loved it ever since.”
“For a living?” Gordon asks, clearly never having heard that cornhole playing could be a job.
“Would you like to play?” Hallie asks Gordon and Nick. “I made some bags.”
She grabs three rice-filled bags and a large pot that she places on the floor, while her chops render.
Hallie aces her shot, Nick just misses, but Gordon breaks his bag and sends rice raining down on everyone. “So sorry,” he says.
Nick suggests, “No more cornhole playing.”
