‘Walking Dead’ Alum Laurie Holden Joins ‘Chicago Fire’ Spinoff

It’s a good thing Laurie Holden isn’t squeamish around the dead. “The Walking Dead” alumna will co-star in NBC’s potential “Chicago Fire” spinoff “Chicago Med,” our sister site TVLine reports.

Holden, who was Andrea, one of the original cast members on the zombie drama, will play ER surgeon Hannah Tramble alongside Yaya DaCosta and S. Epatha Merkerson.

Holden most recently appeared on TNT’s “Major Crimes,” and starred opposite Jeff Daniels and Jim Carey in “Dumb and Dumber.”

The medical drama will be introduced this season on the 19th episode of “Chicago Fire.”

“Chicago Med” is written by “Chicago Fire” creators-executive producers Derek Haas and Michael Brandt. The other exec producers are Matt Olmstead and Dick Wolf.
