All of these themes lie beneath the glitzy entertainment.” On screen, Bobby (Krause) and Athena (Angela Bassett) finally set off on their delayed honeymoon cruise at the start of season 7, but trouble soon follows them out to sea. While Bobby and Athena face turbulence in their marriage even after returning to L.A., Chimney (Kenneth Choi) and Maddie (Jennifer Love Hewitt) are finally able to say “I do,” though a medical complication thwarts their original plans. and Karen (Tracie Thoms) was initially closed off to becoming foster parents again until they met Mara and decided to give it another try. As for Buck (Oliver Stark), he finds himself falling for someone unexpected, and Eddie (Ryan Guzman) has his own set of obstacles throughout the season after meeting a woman he can’t get away from despite living with his girlfriend.
