Virgin River’s Martin Henderson teases ‘huge’ season six as fans eagerly await Netflix release
Fans of the hit TV series Virgin River are on tenterhooks after key actor Martin Henderson shared an exciting glimpse into what lies ahead in the upcoming season.
Although Netflix has yet to set a concrete release date for season six, it is expected that new episodes will become available in early 2025.
Martin and co-star Alexandra Breckenridge’s Instagram accounts have become a focal point for fans hopeful for updates. A recent shock came when Alexandra, who portrays Mel Monroe in the series, divulged her fourth Covid diagnosis since the pandemic started.
However, Martin, known best as Jack Sheridan, delivered one of the most exhilarating updates – announcing they were entering the “final stretch” of filming.
“It takes an army! Final stretch of shooting Season 6 of #virginriverseries,” he confirmed towards the end of May, along with getting ready for the last scenes, stating, “….makeup making me presentable for shooting the last few scenes”, reports the Express.
He continued, “Been a huge season with a lot of what I hope makes you fans very happy.”
Alongside the post was a snap of him in the makeup chair having his eyebrows touched up.
Though excited about the small peek into the much-anticipated next Virgin River season, multiple fans expressed their dissatisfaction with the prolonged wait.
One eager follower responded, “Are you hiding. Where are you. Not fair. We miss you,” while another queried, “When shall we see it? This fall Or?”
A third fan encouraged with, “Hurry up with that series !!! It better be good or else…”
One eager viewer asked, “How long until we see season 6? We’re excited!”
Furthermore, fans have another reason to anticipate the new season as it will feature a first: Martin making his directorial debut in one of the episodes.
