Virgin River Wraps Season 7 Filming as Cast Celebrates a New Chapter in Small-Town Drama

Victoria, BC – It’s official: Netflix’s beloved romantic drama Virgin River has wrapped filming for its seventh season, and the cast wasted no time sharing the exciting update with fans on social media.

Benjamin Hollingsworth, who plays bad boy-turned-softie Dan Brady, posted a joint Instagram update with co-star Kandyse McClure (Kaia) on June 20—the first day of summer and the last day of filming. The caption read:

“First day of Summer and Last day of Filming Season 7 of Virgin River.”

Meanwhile, Zibby Allen, who plays attorney Brie Sheridan (and Brady’s sometimes love interest), also marked the milestone with a carousel of behind-the-scenes photos. Among the snapshots were emotional moments with co-stars Alexandra Breckenridge (Mel Monroe) and Martin Henderson (Jack Sheridan), the show’s central couple, who tied the knot in the Season 6 finale.

“VRS7 wrapped. These lives within these lives…,” Allen wrote.
Benjamin chimed in the comments with a nod to their ongoing on-screen chemistry:
“I hit the scene partner jackpot.”

A Look Back at Virgin River’s Journey

Produced by Reel World Management and inspired by the novels of Robyn Carr, Virgin River first premiered on Netflix in December 2019. Filmed entirely in British Columbia, the show is set in a fictional Northern California town but thrives on the lush, misty backdrops of Canada’s Pacific coast.

The series begins with Mel Monroe, a nurse practitioner and midwife, who relocates to Virgin River hoping to escape the grief of losing her husband. But life in the quiet town is far from simple. There, she meets Jack Sheridan—a bar owner and former Marine dealing with PTSD—and a romance blossoms amid community secrets, healing, and personal discovery.

What’s Next for Season 7?

Season 7 promises even more twists, emotional turns, and—of course—romance. With Mel and Jack navigating married life, Brady and Brie facing an emotional crossroads, and Charmaine’s long-standing baby mystery still unresolved, fans have a lot to look forward to.

Although Netflix has not yet announced a release date for Season 7, the show’s completion of filming means the countdown has officially begun. Whether it lands later in 2025 or early 2026, the wait for Virgin River’s next chapter is now a matter of months—not years.

Until then, fans can bask in the comfort of knowing their favorite small town still has stories left to tell.
