Virgin River Stars Celebrate Season 7 Wrap — And Hint at What’s Next for Mel, Jack, Brie, and Brady

Virgin River fans, rejoice! Season 7 of Netflix’s beloved small-town romance drama has officially wrapped filming — and the cast is giving us just the kind of behind-the-scenes updates we’ve been waiting for.

After kicking off production in March 2025, the Virgin River crew marked a major milestone on June 20, as filming wrapped on what’s expected to be one of the most emotional seasons yet. Fittingly, the final day on set also happened to be the first day of summer, making the moment all the more memorable for cast and fans alike.

The Cast Says Goodbye to Set — For Now

Benjamin Hollingsworth and Kandyse McClure (Brady and Kaia) were among the first to break the news, sharing a joint Instagram post with the caption:

“First day of Summer and Last day of Filming Season 7 of Virgin River.”

The post included cheerful selfies with Zibby Allen (Brie), along with crew members from the set. McClure summed up the day in just four words:

“It was the best day!”

Allen joined in the celebration with her own carousel of sweet photos, including one of her embracing Alexandra Breckenridge (Mel) and another of Breckenridge and Martin Henderson (Jack) on set. Hollingsworth dropped a flirty comment under her post, writing:

“I hit the scene partner jackpot” — a not-so-subtle tease that Brie and Brady fans may be in for more steamy scenes in the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, Annette O’Toole (Hope McCrea) gave her followers a more understated farewell from Vancouver, sharing a snap of her dog in a carrier with the caption:

“Bye Vancouver!”

Colin Lawrence (Preacher) chimed in with a heartfelt video from his trailer.

“That, my friends, is a wrap on Season 7,” he said, adding that it’s “another stellar season” and he’s crossing his fingers for more to come.

Behind-the-Scenes Buzz: New Looks and New Love

In the weeks leading up to the wrap announcement, Alexandra Breckenridge was already teasing big changes for Mel. In a now-viral video, she posed in a set of scrubs, hinting at a storyline that might see Mel returning to more formal medical work — or perhaps assisting in a major delivery?

Breckenridge also gave fans a sneak peek of Mel and Jack’s new home, signaling fresh beginnings and possibly more family planning.

When Will Virgin River Season 7 Premiere?

Although Netflix has yet to confirm a release date, speculation is mounting. Breckenridge herself recently mused that the new season could drop by the end of 2025, despite earlier concerns it might not arrive until 2026. With filming now complete, a late 2025 release looks increasingly possible — and fans are hoping that’s true.

Season 7 is expected to pick up immediately following Season 6’s cliffhangers, with no time jump. That means answers are on the way — including the resolution of the Brie-Mike-Brady love triangle and the mystery surrounding Charmaine’s shocking absence from Mel and Jack’s wedding.

Until Then…

While we wait for official confirmation from Netflix, one thing is clear: Virgin River Season 7 promises to deliver more heart, more healing, and plenty of drama. From romantic reunions to shocking twists, it sounds like our favorite residents of northern California have even more stories to tell.

Stay tuned, and keep your wine chilled — it’s almost time to return to Virgin River.
