Ben Hollingsworth’s latest interview appears to confirm when Virgin River will return — and the wait is longer than fans hoped.
After Stranger Things and Bridgerton, one of Netflix’s most anticipated returning series is undoubtedly Virgin River. The romantic drama last debuted new episodes in December 2024, but despite fans’ hopes, Season 7 will not be arriving in 2025. Netflix recently confirmed that the series has been pushed to 2026 — marking the first year-long gap since the show launched in 2019.
But now, a promising update has surfaced. During a recent appearance on Good Day New York to promote his new film Karen Kingsbury’s The Christmas Ring, Ben Hollingsworth (Brady) may have unintentionally revealed exactly when Season 7 will premiere.
Hollingsworth Doesn’t Correct March 2026 Claim
As the anchors introduced Hollingsworth, they casually stated that Virgin River Season 7 will begin streaming on Netflix in March 2026. Instead of clarifying or denying the timeline, Hollingsworth responded with a clear and direct “Yes!”
While that isn’t an official announcement, it’s the strongest confirmation yet that Season 7 is targeting a March release.
Netflix hasn’t publicly confirmed the exact date, only noting during earnings calls that the series will return sometime in 2026. So while March seems likely, the season could still arrive slightly earlier or later.

Why March Makes Sense for Netflix
A March premiere would strategically place Virgin River right after Bridgerton Season 4’s two-part release in January and February. Slotting it there gives the series room to shine without competing with other major Netflix originals. It’s not the worst delay — and avoids the crowded holiday window.
Season 7 Storylines the Cast Has Already Teased
The new season will pick up on several cliffhangers, including:
-
Mel and Jack exploring adoption
-
Charmaine’s shocking latest twist
-
Mike’s unexpected proposal to Brie
Hollingsworth also shared more about Brady’s path in Season 7. After losing his money to Lark in the Season 6 finale, Brady will be “hunting down” what he’s owed — all while still fighting for Brie, even after she accepted Mike’s bottle-cap proposal.
Hollingsworth Reflects on Season 8 Renewal
In the same interview, Hollingsworth reacted to the show’s Season 8 renewal, which officially makes Virgin River Netflix’s longest-running original series.
“That is still just hitting home for me,” he said. “Netflix is the largest streaming platform in the world, and to be the longest-running show is such a blessing. I love my character.”
Fans do too — and now they have an even clearer idea of when the next chapter will arrive.
