‘Virgin River’ Star Finally Gives Fans the Season 7 Release Update They’ve Been Waiting For md14

Ben Hollingsworth, who plays Dan Brady, just revealed when we can expect the next season.

Fans of Virgin River finally have good news—after months of speculation, Ben Hollingsworth (Dan Brady) has revealed when Season 7 will arrive on Netflix. The actor recently let slip that the new season is set to begin streaming in March 2026. While he didn’t share an exact day, the confirmation alone has sent excitement rippling through the fandom, which has been waiting since Season 6 wrapped on December 19, 2024.

The delay pushes the gap between seasons to a little over a year, but with Netflix juggling a packed slate—including the massive Stranger Things series finale—the shift was hardly surprising. Alexandra Breckenridge (Mel Monroe) hinted earlier that Netflix likely wanted to give Virgin River a clear window instead of forcing it to compete with a major cultural event. As she told Entertainment Weekly, “If I was an intelligent person, guessing, I would say I wouldn’t roll Virgin River out until the new year.”

Hollingsworth confirmed the March release during an interview with FOX5 New York while promoting his new holiday film The Christmas Ring, co-starring Jana Kramer. When asked about the upcoming season—and the show’s historic Season 8 renewal—he reflected on how surreal it feels to be part of “the longest-running show on the largest streaming platform in the world.”

“I love my character. I have such an attachment to Brady,” he said. “Everything bad happens to this guy… You just can’t catch a break.” He also admitted he’s been quietly rooting for the writers to finally give Brady a shot at happiness.

Season 7 will pick up exactly where Season 6 ended. Brady is left broke after Lark drains his bank account—revealed to be working with Jimmy all along. Meanwhile, his relationship with Brie hangs in the balance after Mike suddenly proposes to her with a makeshift bottle-cap ring. According to Hollingsworth, Brady will be on a mission next season to recover his stolen money, confront his ex, and figure out whether he has a second chance with Brie.

As Netflix’s longest-running series, Virgin River appears to be getting the spotlight it deserves with a strategic early-2026 rollout. And in the meantime, fans can catch Hollingsworth in The Christmas Ring, now playing in theaters.
