There’s comfort television — and then there’s Virgin River. Netflix’s cozy small-town romance has officially become the streamer’s longest-running English-language drama, and it’s set to return with Season 7 on March 12, 2026.
After Season 6 delivered Mel and Jack’s long-awaited wedding, the next chapter shifts focus to married life. According to showrunner Patrick Sean Smith, Season 7 will explore the couple’s “honeymoon phase” as they build a future together on the farm — without threatening their relationship. Expect deeper emotional challenges rather than breakup drama.
But calm won’t come easily in Virgin River. The Season 6 finale left multiple storylines hanging: Brie, Brady, and Mike’s explosive love triangle, Doc’s clinic under investigation, and the most chilling cliffhanger of all — Charmaine’s mysterious disappearance after Jack discovers her ransacked home.
New faces are also arriving. Sara Canning (The Vampire Diaries) joins as a medical board investigator probing Doc’s practice, while Cody Kearsley (Riverdale) appears as a foster-care survivor searching for his long-lost sister.
